Hello loves! I hope you had a great weekend. We had a home game, won and it’s finally cold enough to wear scarves. So, life is pretty great! I got this sweater from ROMWE and I can’t get enough of it. It’s the perfect length, super comfortable and very versatile. I shot this look in Florida so I decided to pair this sweater with a denim skirt, but a few days later when I was back in North Carolina I switched it up with a pair of high-waisted jeans. I also had a great shopping experience with this online boutique and received my items promptly. I would definitely recommend shopping with ROMWE if you’re looking for high fashion on a budget, they have it all!
Thank you guys so much for stopping by my site. If you have any comments or questions please don’t hesitate to contact me. Sending my love and positive vibes to you all, have a great night and week!

Hey guys! I hope you’ve had a fabulous week so far. I have a crazy week with school but I promised you this second Halloween look so here it is! This sweater from Shein is so comfy and I’m obsessed with the destroyed skeleton-like detail on the back and shoulders. I paired the sweater with my black leather panel leggings and black leather booties and accessorized with a simple white lace choker. Finally, I added to the vampy vibe of this look with a deep plum lipstick. This sweater is perfect for Halloween because it’s warm, comfy and can be included in endless costume possibilities! The black is the perfect base to start from, so like I said in my last post, spend less and get creative!
Thank you guys so much for stopping by my site! It truly means the world to me to have your support. I love you all! If you have any questions or comments please don’t hesitate to contact me. Have a great week guys and stay delightful–and a little bit spooky!

Hello loves and welcome to “The Delightful Halloween Edition: Part One” brought to you by Shein! These cutout leggings are totally to die for…..hehe! Not only are they extremely cute but they are also very comfy. Where I live it usually snows on Halloween so it will definitely be nice to wear something that will give me a little more coverage as the holiday approaches. No matter what you decide to do or wear on Halloween be you! Girls, you don’t have to dress sexy to look cute. Wear something that you are comfortable in and those who don’t appreciate it don’t deserve your time! Don’t get me wrong, I’ve had my fair share of itchy nurse/bunny costumes, but from my experience I was always wishing I had chosen something more comfortable by the end of the night. Also, you don’t need to spend a ton of money on a costume to wear it once and lose most of the accessories that come with it. Examples: lady bug antennae, fairy wand, tiger tail–I’ve been pretty darn original LOL. But seriously, you can DIY a costume and it will be even better than buying one because it will be your original creation. That’s definitely what I’m going to do this year! Although I do have to say, my favorite costume of all time was my first grade costume; a piglet onesie. Those who know me know I have a slight obsession with Piglet from Winnie the Pooh. So question–do they make adult piglet onesies!? Ok, just kidding I’m no outfit repeater! On that note, part 2 of the Halloween Edition will be coming to the blog later this week with another look from Shein so stay tuned!

Hello loves! I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I stayed home to tend to my pup because he got fixed on Friday. With my cat’s eye being removed a few weeks ago you’re probably thinking I run an animal hospital, but I swear it’s only a mini zoo. Just kitten! Ok I’m done with the animal puns, we are seriously hoping this is the last of the animal medical procedures for now.
I may be saying this because I’m his fur mama, but Knight is seriously such a character. He’s the first puppy I’ve ever raised on my own and I can see him getting more and more protective by the day. One night last week Knight and I went out to play and suddenly two deer pounced out of the woods and scurried across the yard. I’ve never seen Knight react the way he did. First he was startled so he jumped back and started growling. Then he discovered his bark and I had to take him inside because I was scared he was going to wake up the neighbors. 30 minutes later he was still sitting by the door looking at me like, “Mom, I can’t believe you don’t even care that we just saw aliens.”
Don’t get me wrong, Knight loves people and wouldn’t hurt a fly, but if a circumstance came where I needed protection I know I could count on him to be my guard dog. Knight sleeps with me every night. At first he starts off on the bottom of the bed but every morning I will wake up and he will be sleeping next to me with his head on the pillow…yes, like a person. We took a trip to the dog park last week and it was the most adorable thing to see. It was like watching a little kid make friends on the playground! Knight was pretty skittish when we first walked in but by the end of the time he was chasing the other dogs around–he’s a stud.
Its crazy how something that can’t speak to you can teach you so much about life. Knight has shown me growth and the ability to learn and love. His strength through his surgery showed me that going through a tough situation can make you stronger. (I’m not kidding, I’m pretty sure he was actually stronger the next day.) Even though the dog park scared him at first he faced his fears and in the end it was worth it because he made a ton of new doggy friends. He was pretty shaken up by the deer that night but he learned from his experience and is now more aware for the next time a situation like that comes up. Knight has showed me that living with an open heart and being honest with your emotions can create an inseparable bond of unconditional love. Everything that I have learned from my pup reflects positive aspects that should always be considered in the walk through life; strength, growth and love. I admire Knight for never holding back and always being his crazy little self. Whoever said diamonds were a girl’s best friend never had a dog!

Hello loves and happy October! I visited Charlotte for a wedding a couple of weeks ago and had the chance to snap these pictures in this location overlooking the area around Southpark Mall. These photos were taken right outside of Village Tavern and I swear, it wasn’t even weird because the environment was so laid back. The group I was with was able to play corn hole and chill for a second while my mom and sister helped me snap these pics. I went during the day and sat inside but they also have outside seating that I wish I could have taken advantage of while I was there. Not to mention, the food is delicious! So, if you’re in the area you should definitely check it out!
While I was in the city I started to imagine what my life would be like if I lived there. A new place, energy, people and opportunities. “Wow that would be nice,” I thought to myself. Almost four years ago I felt the exact same way about coming to college. I was so ready to get away from the small town I lived in and couldn’t wait to see what Appalachian State had in store for me. That’s the thing about growing up. You outgrow yourself each and every day. Your experiences and connections shape you into someone different, more aware and knowledgeable for what’s coming next. Even if an experience you had was a bad one you can learn to appreciate it because it allowed you to learn and progress. It’s crazy how things you used to care about can seem so small in relation to the things that seem important in your life now. It seems like just yesterday I was chasing my mom around in Walmart trying to slip any toy I could into the cart. Now I’ll spend 15 minutes in the store smelling the candles to try and decide which one I want in my apartment. (Blueberry Muffin Woodwick candle is amazing!) Time changes you and every experience makes you into someone who is just that much more prepared to take on the world. Don’t sweat what you can’t change and realize that the things that seem so important now will soon have you asking yourself, “Why did I even care?”
So, I realized that I can either spend my time creating a picture of what living in the city would be like or I can appreciate every single moment that I have left in this small mountain town. Personally, I think the second choice sounds a lot better! I’m challenging myself and you all to love the place that you are in because it is shaping you into the person that you are meant to be. Live in the moment and embrace the future as it comes. As long as you love and appreciate the moment you’re in, the people in your life and most of all yourself there is no way that things won’t work out for the best.
Thank you guys so much for checking out my site! I hope you have an amazing night and week. If you have any comments or questions please don’t hesitate to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or comment below. Thanks again loves!
