Hey guys! I hope you’ve had a great week so far. I’m so excited about this post because I had the opportunity to collaborate with SheIn on this bomber jacket look. (linked below) The bomber jacket is a bold piece so I decided to style it simply with high waisted jeans, a white bodysuit and black booties. I accessorized this look with a black bucket bag, white choker and added a spicy touch with Maybelline’s “Orange Danger” lipstick (looks so good with white). Working with SheIn was extremely easy and pleasant and if you haven’t ever checked out their site you definitely should! They provide the latest trends for extremely affordable prices. Perfect for a college girl on a budget!
If you guys follow me on Instagram you’ve probably seen the posts about the event my club and I hosted last night. We invited local and out-of town businesses to participate in a pop-up shop where stores were able to set up a booth and sell their merchandise. Ever since my partners and I began planning the event, I had an image in my head of how it would turn out. I have to say that it was everything I imagined and more! Event planning is hectic and requires a lot of attention to detail. Throughout my time planning and marketing for the event I learned a lot about what works and what doesn’t. So, I thought I would share a few tips with you guys for any future event planning you have in store!
Thank you guys so much for stopping by my site if you have any comments or questions please don’t hesitate to comment below or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks again, love you guys and have a great rest of your week!

Hey guys! I hope you had a fabulous weekend. I went to the App State vs. Miami football game and unfortunately Appalachian lost. Still proud to be a mountaineer, we’ll get em’ next time! I’ve been meaning to blog this dress for a while but now that primaries are big this fall I knew I could save this little red number for the autumn months. I styled the dress with a black moto jacket and added a playful touch with my white converse sneaker. I accessorized with a two toned Michael Kors watch, Alex and Ani bangles and an evil eye hand of fatima detail charm necklace. I finished the look off with my favorite lipstick “Lilac Flush” by Maybelline.
Does the future freak anyone else out? To be honest, it scares me every day. Not like the no gas in North Carolina for the next week kind of future. I’m talking about the big picture, although the gas thing is pretty freaky. But maybe thats just me going into apocalypse defense mode because Walking Dead comes back on in almost a month! (DID GLEN DIE!?) Anyway, life can be so unpredictable, constantly taking different twists and turns. One day you will think you are headed in one direction and then life with throw you a curve ball and the game plan will be completely changed. Something I’ve learned along the way is that if you feel like you have to force something it usually isn’t right. Whether it’s a job, your major, a relationship or even an essay for school, success will not come out of trying to force anything to feel right when it just doesn’t.
Sometimes certain things just don’t mesh and that’s okay. The only thing you can do is move on from it and focus on the next best thing for you. I have probably tried to force things too many times to count. Once you let go of feeling like one way is the only way you’ll realize that most of the time that situation was not meant to be permanent in your life. Sometimes you just need to take a step back and give your mind a breather. Turn off all of your electronics and give yourself some real time to think. It’s then when you’re sitting in silence spending time with yourself that you will realize what is bringing you joy and what is bringing you stress and worry.
Unfortunately sometimes the things that bring stress and worry are things that you shouldn’t necessarily remove because they are beneficial to your long term success. But that doesn’t mean you can’t take a step back, give it some space and come back to it when your mind is refreshed and you don’t feel backed into a corner. It’s the things that don’t benefit your life but still bring you stress and worry that need to go! Like I’ve said many times before, growth is uncomfortable. Going out of your comfort zone is not easy at all and it challenges me and so many others every day. The thing is, those that go out of their comfort zone are those who will achieve their dreams because they gave it a shot once, twice, or maybe even twenty times. That’s okay. It’s that one job opportunity, one experience, or one person that will make it all worth it. Don’t let life get you down when the world is so big and beautiful. Not only does it have so much to offer, but you have so much to offer it. If something doesn’t make you feel like a better person, then it’s not right. Get rid of the pointless stresses and pursue what you know you deserve!

Hey guys! I hope you had a great weekend. To be honest with you guys my weekends haven’t been too “lit” lately. If you’ve been following my latest posts you know that my cat Bub had his eye removed about a week and a half ago so my sister and I have had to stay home as much as we can to take care of the little guy. Thankfully his recovery has gone extremely well and he seems to be adapting to his one eyed ways quite nicely. Frankly I haven’t really minded having Bub as an excuse to stay home because I am so exhausted by the end of the week anyway. Don’t get me wrong, I love to go out, travel and experience new things as much as I can but sometimes it’s nice to be a homebody and rest up for the week ahead of you. I’m glad I had last weekend to prep me for this weekend because it was the first football game and we won! This coming weekend we play Miami at home and it will definitely be one of the biggest football games that has ever taken place here at App State. Wish us luck and tune into ESPN to catch the game on Saturday at 12!
I saw this color combo on the cover of the September issue of StyleWatch and I immediately knew I had at least try to rock it like Chrissy Teigen did. I truly admire how bold she is with her style! I also love that the bright colors were used as a final hoorah for summer as we slowly ease into fall. Most of the pieces that are included in my look are older but I found pieces as close as possible and tagged them above. Also these shoes are super fabulous but I would definitely recommend breaking them in before you walk a long distance!
Thank you guys so much for stopping by my site and I hope you have a fabulous week. If you have any comments or questions please don’t hesitate to comment below or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks again guys, have a great night!

Hello friends and happy Tuesday! I hope you all had an amazing Labor Day weekend. If you all read my last post you know that my cat Bub had to have his eye removed last Friday. Because Bub has to be closely monitored, my sister and I stayed around the house for the weekend so that we could take care of him, give him his meds and keep him confined. Hey I’m not complaining, I got to catch up on my most recent binge worthy Netflix series Stranger Things and Jane the Virgin. If you haven’t seen them you should definitely give them a try! For this look I paired a pleated leather skirt with a burgundy striped top and black Adidas Superstar Up high top sneakers. I accessorized with some fun tassel accessories (earrings custom made by J.H. Elle Designs), gold arm candy and my black Prospect Place Pippa bag. For my makeup I used the Naked 3 Palette on my eyes and on my lips I am wearing “Rebel” by MAC — the PERFECT burgundy lip color for fall!

Hey guys! I hope you’ve had a lovely day and week. I have been beyond busy so I apologize for taking a little longer than usual to get an update out. On that note, doesn’t wearing a blazer just make you feel professional? Believe it or not this is one of my grandma’s old blazers that she passed down to me a while back. Now that navy is in for the fall I knew I had to break it out! I styled this beauty with a simple white blouse by LUSH, destroyed medium blue jeans and a faux leather ball cap (less than $10!). I accessorized this look with a wrap choker, Moon and Lola gold hoops, gold arm candy and my blush Kate Spade cedar street maise bag!
So there was a sequence of events this week that took place that definitely rattled me. While I’m not going to go into detail I can say that this post has definitely changed topics within the past few days. What I learned from this situation is that something can seem like it is targeted towards hurting or taking advantage of you when in reality that isn’t the case at all. Sure it’s easy to feel victimized. We’ve all had those moments where we think to ourselves, “Did that seriously just happen?”
Moments like these either hit you where it hurts or get you to your boiling point but usually under the circumstances you are unable to react and have to fake a smile. While I will never promote not expressing who you truly are I do have to say there is an exception for moments such as these. No, that doesn’t mean you can’t text your bestie every curse word you know and skip out on your responsibilities of the night for extra therapy cuddles with your dog. But if you can act like it doesn’t bother you, take time to sleep on the circumstances, weigh out the positives and negatives and let things play out you can usually come to the realization that everything will work out for the best.
After a few days of practicing these techniques it turned out that the situation was pretty much a misunderstanding. Even if it wasn’t, I am so glad that I didn’t react the way I wanted to when the everything initially took place. Sometimes it isn’t easy to be the bigger person. Honestly, sometimes it can seem near to impossible. But I can promise you that looking back on a situation and realizing that you handled it in a mature, classy manner is much more rewarding than looking back and regretting your actions. Take a deep breath, realize that no matter what happens you have yourself and that no negative words or event can change the fact you are a good person who strives to be the best you can be. Having the ability to show your true colors and hold your head high in an uncomfortable situation is not easy but it is definitely something to be proud of once everything is said and done.
Also, our little Bubby cat had to go into emergency surgery today to have his eye removed. After months of complications it seemed that this was our only option. He has woken up from surgery and the vet said that he couldn’t wait to get to his food! We love him so much and we can’t wait to pick him up tonight and pamper him with lots of love and cat treats. Thank you to everyone for your concern please continue to send him positive vibes for a speedy recovery!
