Hey guys! Sorry I’ve been missing on the blog lately, my life has been extremely hectic so I’ve had to take a little break. Fortunately, I have become super close to the owner of Oscar Louise Photography, and I’m excited to announce that we will be collaborating on many of my future posts. If you guys follow me on Instagram, you know that I recently lost and found my cat, and I just wanted to thank you all for sending out positive vibes for her safe return home. It meant so much and I know she wouldn’t be home without the strong positive energy all of my friends and family put out, so thank you so much!
Jonathan, owner and photographer of Oscar Louis Photography is an advertisement major at Appalachian State, and he aspires to incorporate his talent and passion for photography into his career one day. For this shoot, Jonathan tried to emphasize color dominance through a few of my favorite red pieces. Instead of focusing on how many good pictures he could get, Jonathan approached the shoot with a completely relaxed attitude, allowing me to have fun, come out of my comfort zone, and express emotion through the photos. Jonathan’s patience and “quality not quantity” mindset is something that really stood out to me throughout this shoot. Good photography takes an extreme amount of patience and a very strong attention to detail, but also the ability to make clients feel comfortable, and these are all traits that Jonathan encompasses to create an extremely pleasant and professional environment. He looks past any incentive that could possibly come out of his photography, and instead focuses on making valuable memories.
