HEY GUYS! I hope you had an amazing Thanksgiving! If you’ve been following my Instagram and Snapchat you know I went to Florida to visit my family for the holiday. Sometimes you find that a little getaway lands exactly at the right time, and in this case it definitely did. It takes a little space from your normal life and routine to realize how much you have to be thankful for. Lately, I’ve found myself super stressed out, overwhelmed, and somewhat focusing on what I’m doing wrong instead of what I’m doing right. It’s easy to let your mind take a hold of you, but taking a little time away from whatever it may be that seems to be controlling your thoughts can bring to your attention how controllable they actually are. Sometimes you just have to have faith that everything is happening for a reason and that you are experiencing struggle so you can discover your strength. My flight for Florida left around 4 in the afternoon so as we approached our destination the sun started to set. At one point we were in the middle of the sunset and the moon rising. As you looked out one side of windows the sunlight reflected off of the clouds creating a pink silhouette lining the sky, and on the other the almost full moon rose high as the sky darkened. Suddenly I had a realization that sometimes you’re just floating through the middle of life. It doesn’t mean that it’s a horribly dark time, but also not an extremely exciting and fun one. These are the times when you just need to relax, take a deep breath, and enjoy the ride. Focus on yourself and your goals so you can learn what you want, what makes you excited and happy, but also what brings you peace. It is so extremely important for your happiness to have peace within yourself even if your life may seem crazy and stressful. So find what gives you that, pursue it, and remember that you can only find it within yourself!

So onto my Thanksgiving look! I got this comfy wine red dress from Lulus and I seriously loved wearing it for the holiday. I knew I wanted to wear a trendy fall color for Thanksgiving, but then again I wanted to get something that I knew I could wear again, maybe even over the Christmas Holiday. So I began to browse Lulu’s site (you can search by color which I LOVE!) and came upon this beauty AND it was on sale! Currently its only available in certain sizes in this color but there are several other colors with all sizes so you should definitely still check it out. I also went ahead and found another dress style in this color just in case you fell in love with this stunning wine red like I did! I paired the dress with my toffee Lucky Brand booties, Mac lipstick “Rebel”, gold accessories, and my Bellami hair extensions! Overall I had an amazing Thanksgiving visiting with family, relaxing, and eating a ton of food (Yes the food in the picture above is as delicious as it looks). I hope you all had just as much fun as I did, and that my thoughts above might have clicked with you a little!

Thank you guys so much for checking out my site, I’m so so thankful for all of my readers and supporters! If you have any comments or questions you can email me at or comment below. Have a delightful day everyone, thanks again for stopping by!

Hey guys! HAPPY THANKSGIVING! So above I’ve organized some of my favorite gift ideas for this year and I wanted to share them with you guys before Black Friday, and because a lot of the sales start today! The Kate Spade watch in the top right is seriously to die for. This watch is available at Nordstrom and their Black Friday sale starts online today! To the right of the watch is the circle fur scarf, which I’m nothing less than obsessed with. My good friend and owner JH Elle Designs makes these scarves and I seriously can’t get enough of them. Go visit Darci & Co. in store tomorrow for these beautiful, soft, and extremely warm circle scarves. The next item is number one on my wish list, the compass Alex and Ani bracelet. I love Alex and Ani because they are such classic pieces, but each so unique with their own meaning. The compass means navigation, discover, and arrival which I think is a pretty awesome message to carry around with you, not to mention everything on the Alex and Ani website is 15% off plus free shipping! The next item you see in the top right-hand corner is the BEAUTIFUL Tory Burch mini Robinson bag in blush which is my new all time favorite color! And guys, Tory is having a holiday sale event!! Those who spend $250 and enter the code “THANKS” will receive 30% off on your purchase, so now is definitely the time to buy a bag or any other Tory item for a family member or yourself! Right below the circle scarf you see a pair of super cute sunnies, these are Quay Australia sunglasses and they are available at Lulus. I love the cat eye and unique patterns and colors used on these glasses, plus they are only $50 so its definitely a steal of a deal! Lulus, one of my favorite online boutiques is having a special Black Friday sale where you can sign up and they will send you exclusive info today so make sure you check into that! The nail polish right next to the Quay Australia’s is Estee Lauder limited edition in “Enchanted Garnet”.  I am seriously in love with this color for late fall and winter, its so perfect for the holidays. I actually have the Furbish Studio Safari pillow that is to the right of the nail polish and I seriously love it so much. You can mix it and match it with just about any other pattern, print, or color and can either use it for a decorative bedding or living room pillow and Furbish Studio orders over 100 also ship for free! Below the pillow is the Fossil Sydney Flap Clutch in hot pink. I’ve had my eye on this wallet for a while and I think it is the perfect gift when you’re trying to give someone something that isn’t too big but also not to small. Its also so convenient, and guys, this wallet is available at Macy’s for less than $30 when it was originally priced at $80! CAN YOU SAY BLACK FRIDAY SALE!? Next up is the cute little poof key chain to the left of the wallet. I  just think these are such cute little accessories that can just add a little fun to a keychain or bag! Michael Kors is having a Glamour Event where you receive $50 off when spending $250, $125 off when spending $500, and $200 off when you spend $750. To the left of the keychain is the Kate Spade Planner! I seriously think a planner is such a great gift to give someone as the new year approaches! It’s a way to say I care about you and I want you to keep everything that you do organized because you are important! Kate Spade is also having a surprise sale until the 28th where you can enjoy up to 75% off on some items and free shipping on items $175 and up! Next to the planner is the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Gift Set! My mom has used this scent since I was little and I’ve always loved it, plus this is a set that is valued at $90 but is only $70 so its a pretty great deal! Lastly one of my favorite cosmetics, MAC LIPSTICK! This is a beautiful raspberry color called Fashion Revival and I think it is so beautiful for this time of year! It would also look great with the Estee Lauder nail polish above.

Thank you guys so much for checking out my site! I hope you have an amazing Thanksgiving and I hope this gift guide was helpful! I am so so so thankful for all of my readers and supporters! You guys are seriously what keep me going and motivated. Thanks again for everything guys, have a great day!!!

Delightfully Du Jour Takes On The Big Apple

Hey guys! I hope you have had an amazing week. If you’ve been following me on Instagram I’m sure you’ve seen all of my New York City adventures! It was such an amazing experience, and I’m just getting used to being back in the  slower pace of my small mountain town. While I was in the city the weather was absolutely amazing and I was able to sport some of my lighter fall wear throughout the week including this perfect front button denim mini skirt from Topshop! I paired this piece with a white cami that is also from Topshop and toffee colored Lucky Brand booties to match the seam of the skirt. I accessorized this look with some simple diamond costume jewelry and my favorite new purchase…KATE SPADE BAG!!!
I was completely and totally amazed by the city, if you haven’t had the chance to go you should definitely plan a trip because the people, pace, and overall energy is seriously eye opening! Because I went with a program within my major I was able to see some behind the scenes aspects of the fashion industry. We visited The Row, a line created by Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Century 21, a huge discount department store, the home studio of Alejandra Alonso designer of the luxury women’s wear collection A Moi, and RMC USA a private label manufacturer who specializes in sweaters and knits for stores like Anthropologie. We also had the chance to visit the Fashion Institute of Technology and learn about the history of apparel from one of the professors. At the end of the trip we had a free day where we had the chance to shop around the entire city. I got some amazing stuff from Banana Republic (I’m loving their exotic colors this season) and earlier in the trip I snagged the Kate Spade bag from the images above. We also got to see the broadway show Wicked and the Hunger Games costume exhibit. I would definitely recommend both!
Overall, my experience in the city was amazing. Not only did it open my eyes to so many different parts of the industry but it also gave me this sense of motivation and confidence as I try to grow my career. I learned that by no means is the industry glamorous, it takes a lot of hard work, and you probably won’t end up where you thought you would. Most of the people that we talked to mentioned that you can’t have a problem with doing “grunt work” because all work matters and will benefit towards your future. Having the opportunity to go to New York and see and hear what the industry entails was truly inspiring and I can’t wait to see where I am a few years from now because I was able to have this experience, it was truly life changing.
I hope you guys have a great day and thank you so much for stopping by my site! If you have any comments or questions you can leave a comment below or email me at Stay delightful my friends!
