Hey loves! I hope you guys had an awesome Thanksgiving. Last Saturday I tailgated for the last time as an Appalachian State student. It’s crazy how fast my time here has passed! I had two presentations this week so it’s safe to say that I’m glad to have a little break from school and enjoy some good food with the fam. I got this jacket and bodysuit from StyleWe and I am absolutely in love! StyleWe has created a community of independent designers for their customers and their platform gives shoppers the ability to explore a huge realm of fashion online. I had such a hard time choosing what I wanted, the range of their items is honestly amazing. If you haven’t checked out their site yet, you should!
So, public speaking is not exactly my thing (Palms sweaty, moms spaghetti lol you get the point). As a Public Relations major, you definitely wouldn’t think that would be the case, but I would prefer to be behind the keyboard than in front of an audience any day. Last week I was in my PR writing class and we all had to go around and do our own personal SWOT analysis. SWOT stands for strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats and can be used to analyze businesses and social media platforms, but I never considered doing one on myself. It was pretty easy for me to break down. I immediately knew that I was going to put public speaking under my weaknesses and threats. Of course, I got called on first to read out my analysis in front of the entire class and for some reason, instead of feeling shaky and hot I felt a sense of calm and peace. I didn’t think we would be divulging this information to anyone, so while reading back my characteristics I realized that I was completely honest with myself. Spur of the moment, unexpectedly I had to announce my fear of publicly speaking in front of the entire class. A scenario I would have imagined being anxiety ridden but instead, it was calming. I looked around the room for a brief second and saw the heads of my peers nodding in agreement. It was in that moment that I realized this isn’t a fear that belongs just to me, this fear resides in almost everyone. Probably not Meghan Kelly…she rocks her confidence like the latest trends, but almost everyone! Once the other students started to read out their SWOT almost everyone mentioned public speaking as one of their weaknesses or threats. Even the people that I look up to in class and have amazing presentation skills. When you’re up in front of an audience, you feel every glance, every breath, every sniffle. It feels like all eyes are staring at the blemish you caked concealer on top of. But trust me, they aren’t. Everyone is inside of their own heads, with their own thoughts and worries. And if anything about you is involved in a sliver of those thoughts, believe that it is positive and supportive because they have been in your shoes. Be confident in yourself and your ability, if you didn’t have nerves before you wouldn’t be able to feel the relief of success after you get it over with!

Hey there my loves! I hope you had an awesome week so far. This is a look I’ve wanted to get up for a while because it’s made out of all older pieces from my very own wardrobe. One of my favorite things to do is use old pieces and apply them to new trends! I love to go through magazines like StyleWatch and InStyle and find collages of outfit inspiration and see the latest styles that are being worn by a-listers. It’s seriously the best way to find inspiration and create trendy looks with things that you have right in your own closet. Give it a try, I’m sure you’ll be surprised with what you can come up with!
I’ve had this light burgundy mini pencil skirt since high school, and since I’m seeing similar pieces and tones lately I decided to break it out again! I styled this skirt with a simple light grey V-neck sweater from Forever 21, wrap choker necklace and black ankle booties. I accessorized this look with my two toned Michael Kors watch, Gigi New York Taylor Tote and coral lipstick. I styled my hair with a one inch curling wand and 18 inch Bellami extensions in dirty blonde to add volume. I linked similar items below to each piece in this look so that you guys can recreate it on your own. Enjoy!

Hey loves! I hope you had an awesome weekend. I went home because I had a crazy past two weeks with school and just needed a break. While I was there I had the chance to get my hair done at Beautopia in Southern Pines which is the only place I will go to do anything hair related –hint to why I drive 3.5 hours! Beautopia is one of the places where you can find the gorgeous Binding Energies collection. I fell in love with this bag as soon as I saw it, but there are so many colors and patterns that are equally breathtaking. The bags are made out of upcycled vintage Indian saris and every piece has its own personality and beauty. The Binding Energies jewelry is just as gorgeous and unique so you should definitely check out their website if you haven’t yet! I also linked the retailers for their latest items below. This is one of my go to looks when I want to be comfy. I love sporty street style, so these high waisted Lululemon leggings, comfy crop sweater from Dress Lily, and Stella Mccartney Ultra Boosts are perfect when I’m going for the effortlessly cute look when I’m on the go. All of these items are linked below! Also, I got a lot of positive feedback about sharing my workouts so I will definitely have those up as soon as possible so stay tuned!

Hello loves! I hope you had a wonderful Halloween. If you all follow me on Instagram you probably saw that I dressed up as the fox and the hound with my pup! You also probably saw his insane shaking skills. He’s a little stud muffin! I got this coat from Dress Lily and I’m in love. It’s been unusually warm outside so it’s nice to have a light fall jacket that I can wear on the days where it’s 65 degrees out. I actually wore this coat after the sun went down as well and I was still warm with just a sweater underneath! I just love when I can find weather versatile pieces mainly because they are the most comfortable and I can feel 100% confident when I’m wearing them. No one hates wearing a fall coat to class and sweating their booty off when it gets warm outside more than this gal. I had a great experience working with Dress Lily. They have a huge range of clothing, the latest trends, quality items, affordable prices and great customer service. If you haven’t checked out their site yet you definitely should!
