Hey guys! TGIF. I hope you all had a great week! I can’t believe 2016 is almost over. So much has changed in just a year and wow, did it fly by or what!? 2017 comes with new experiences, places, friendships, decisions and responsibilities and it’s safe to say that I’m ready to tackle them all. Out with the old, in with the new!

This look was one of my favorites in 2016. Not only because it was super cute and comfy, but also because I felt like it kind of defined my style. My eyes have always been drawn to sporty street style pieces. I’m usually busy between school, workouts, and walking my dog so I always find myself picking out sporty looks like this one when I’m in a hurry. I got this crop hoodie from Romwe, and if you think it looks comfy on the outside, you should feel the inside!

I told you guys I would share my workouts a while back, so I figured what better time than right before the new year starts!? The two plans I’ve purchased and loved are Kayla Itsines Bikini Body Guide and Suzie B Fitness leg and booty plan. Kayla’s is a 12-week plan and I’ve been through it twice. I enjoyed both times and saw significant progress. This plan is great for leaning down and toning up your entire body and I would definitely recommend it! Suzie’s plan was a bit shorter because it only targeted legs. I was so pleased with the progress I saw over the month that I did her plan and really enjoyed switching up my leg workouts. Definitely a plan I would recommend for you girlies who are trying to grow that booty!

I have been consistently weight training for the past year and I’m seriously addicted! It’s taken a lot of practice and planning but I think I have come up with a pretty good plan that I can work into my workout routine while continuing and mixing in the plans that I talked about earlier. For most of the weight training exercises below I do 3 sets of 10-12 reps and the weight varies. Start light, be careful with your body, and do what you feel comfortable with!

Monday: Back Day

HIIT Circuit (Available in the plans above)

(Superset these exercises)

Lat Pull & Seated Row

Standing Row & Pull Ups

Deadlifts & Back Extensions

(For Deadlifts like to switch up my grip with the hex bar)

Tuesday: Shoulders and Abs

Run 1 mile as fast as possible or walk 1 mile on incline

(Superset these exercises)

Shoulder Press & Lateral Raises

Front Raises & Upright Cable Row

Cable Front Raise & Cable Face Pull

Ab Roller with bar & plates (10lbs.), Leg Lifts, One Minute Plank (Go through this circuit three times 10-12 reps of each exercise)

Wednesday: Chest Day

HIIT Circuit

(Superset these exercises)

Bench Press & Dips on Assisted Pull Up

Sven Press & Flies on Cable

Decline Pushup & Around the World Chest Flies

Straight Arm Dumbbell Pullover & Ab Pulldown

Thursday: Leg Day

Run 1 mile as fast as possible or walk 1 mile on incline

Squats on Rack

Leg Extensions

Leg Curls

Single-Leg Press

Cable Leg Extensions

Abductor Machine

Adductor Machine

Friday: Arm Day

HIIT Circuit

(Superset these exercises)

Standing Bicep Curls & Standing Dumbbell Triceps Extension

Triceps Pushdown & Hammer Curls

Bench Triceps Extension with plate & One Arm Preacher Curl

Saturday or Sunday Alternate with Rest Day: Abs and Cardio

I use one day of the weekend as my rest day and do a light workout and cardio on the other day so that I can give my body recovery time. If I decide to rest a day during the week I will replace the weekend rest day with that muscle group on one of the days of the weekend!

Your choice of cardio (HIIT, run, walk on incline, jump rope)

I like to lightly work legs and abs on the light day. Usually I will either do a leg HIIT circuit and weighted ab exercises or vice versa. There are a lot of good circuit workouts on Pinterest along with the plans above!

Weighted Ab Exercises:

Hanging Leg Raises

Cable Crunches

Sit-up Machine

Cable Side Twists

Pink Velvet and Thigh High Boots have my Heart

Wednesday, December 28th, 2016

Hey guys! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and holiday! I had such a great Christmas spending quality time with my family, opening gifts, laughing until my stomach hurt, and eating amazing food. Don’t get me wrong, I love all the food. But I must stay loyal and say that dressing is still #1 bae.

Who else is obsessed with this velvet trend? It’s so wintery, feminine, and perfect for ringing in 2017! I got this adorable pink velvet t-shirt dress from SheIn and I’m in love. It’s so comfy and so easy to style! No matter what weather you’re facing on New Year’s Eve, you can style this dress simply like I did or mix it up with tights and a moto jacket for chilly weather! I styled this look with black thigh high boots, clutch, choker, and double sided pearl earrings. I got this simple lace choker from Dress Lily for less than $2! Can you say amazing? I’m wearing one of my absolute favorite lip colors “Lilac Flush” by Maybelline and you guys have hit the jackpot because it is also less than $6!

Coffee Shops and Comfy Sweaters make for the Ultimate Cozy Winter Day

Sunday, December 25th, 2016

Merry Christmas Eve guys! I can’t believe Christmas finally here tomorrow. I feel so blessed to have such amazing friends, family, and readers! I got this sweater from Dress Lily and it absolutely fulfills my comfy oversized sweater dreams. I paired it with destroyed jeans from American Eagle, grey converse and hat, and added a final feminine touch with “Snob” a light pink lipstick by MAC. My mom and I shot this look in a little coffee shop right in the heart of the Village of Pinehurst called The Roast Office. How cute right? It’s an old post office transformed into a coffee shop bookstore. It’s a fun little place to visit after a walk around the village so you should check it out if you’re in the area!

I hope you all have the most wonderful Christmas! Thank you guys so much for stopping by my site, looking back on the passed two years I feel so blessed to have had you all to support me along the way. I wouldn’t be here without you and I can’t wait to see where we are this time next year. I’m so lucky to have such a great team of supporters to join me on this journey. Love you babes, have a delightful holiday!

Fringe and Faux Fur Fun

Friday, December 23rd, 2016

Hey guys! I hope you’ve had an awesome week. Christmas is almost here YAY! My family did Christmas early because we are flying to Florida tomorrow and couldn’t bring all our gifts. So, now I’m just looking forward to enjoying Christmas Day, watching the little ones in my family open their gifts, and of course…my grandma’s cooking. I got this awesome faux fur coat from Makemechic and I felt like I could get super creative with this look because of the fun vibrant colors.

A piece like this makes a statement so I decided to pair it with a simple destroyed boyfriend tee, cutout leggings and yellow pumps. I accessorized this look with an edgy tattoo choker from Dress Lily and simple diamond studs. I used the Naked Ultimate Basics palette on my eyes, Laura Mercier 60’s Pink on my lips, and I styled my hair in a simple up do with Bellami Cleopatra bangs. You can check these items out in the links below!

Everybody has something that makes them tick. You know what I’m talking about? Your biggest pet peeves. I’d say I have a few unique ones. I can’t stand to walk on a garage floor with bare feet, iPhone keyboard clicks make me cringe, and putting my head on my pillow with wet hair is a complete and total no-no. I avoid these little things at all costs because they make me extremely uncomfortable. Sure, it’s nothing that will damage my well being if it does happen, but I would rather avoid the discomfort all together by simply putting forth preventative measures to make sure these annoyances don’t happen.

We learn from our experiences and they mold and shape who we are. We find out what we like and dislike, and do whatever we can to avoid the negative outcome. Since this is kind of an involuntary thing we do as humans, we can tend to subconsciously avoid things that could potentially have a negative outcome on our lives. If you’ve been through something that caused you discomfort, you obviously don’t want to put yourself in that position again. Whether its fear of commitment, failure, or embarrassment its natural to want to avoid the things that could have a 50/50 outcome.

See the thing is, not taking the risk is comfortable and safe but living with a closed heart and not allowing positive things to walk into your life will leave you isolated and always wondering what could have been. This holiday I challenge you all and myself to live with an open heart and mind. Focus on why or why not you aren’t giving an opportunity, a relationship, or even saying a joke in front of your family a chance. Live out of love and positivity and you will attract those types things into your life. Take chances and don’t overthink your choices to the point where you’re shutting out positivity. Life will surprise you in funny ways!

Thank you guys so much for checking out my site. Please feel free to reach out to me. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday! Love you bunches!!!!
