Hey guys! I’m sorry I’ve been MIA for the last few months. Things have been pretty crazy. For one, I graduated college, then travelled Australia and New Zealand. I’ve really missed blogging, but had to take a break from it due to everything going on. I’ve taken some time to get back in touch with myself and well, here I am at 11:00 p.m. on a Tuesday night blabbing away on a word document. It’s strange, I find the most inspiration during times in my life that are full of confusion, complication, and uncertainty. It’s probably because there’s just so much going on in my mind—seriously guys it doesn’t stop lol.
Naturally, as humans we settle and find comfort in what’s familiar. If change is placed in our lives it can seem threatening to our happiness. But what we’re truly afraid to lose is the safety of the walls that confine us to our comfort zone. Trust me I’ve been there, certainty is a nice little sheltered place to stay…but only for a little while. Sometimes change smacks you right in the face so that you can gain awareness. Whether that message is positive or negative is for you to decide. The most important thing is that you learn from it and grow closer and more in touch with yourself. I had a lot of life changing experiences lately, one being that I am completely done with school. WOOOOOO YEAH! Well, that’s how I initially felt when I graduated. But looking back, I wouldn’t have changed a second of rushing to class and hitting stuff on King Street, staying up all night freaking out over presentations, meeting some of my best friends, sleepless nights laying in bed thinking about the future, times of pain and realization, lots of long runs around campus, blistering cold nights, trying to juggle every responsibility possible, and most of all learning to embrace change. The past four years made me strong and helped me prove to myself that I can do whatever I want as long as I put my mind to it. It’s all because I was pushed out of my comfort zone.
Sometimes change is easily embraced, a new place, a new workout plan, a new job, etc. But other times it can be scary and painful. When I started college, I thought happiness meant that you had to feel joy 24/7. I quickly learned that life wasn’t that easy and that there will always be ups and downs. I don’t think I really accepted that until I travelled again. I was thrown into a huge group of strangers and got to know everyone over a time span of 21 days. For a lot of the time I had my own problems on my mind. What job was I going to get when I got home, where was I going to live, I missed my family and friends, I hoped Knight and Magoo remembered me…blah, blah, blah. But then I started to listen around and realized that everyone else had little problems on their minds too. The lives of others can seem so perfect and easy from the outside looking in, but once you take a moment to live in someone else’s shoes you’ll realize that you’re not alone. Change and uncertainty are usually just as scary to everyone else.
So yes, I’ve changed my definition of happiness a little in the past four years. I now believe that happiness means finding joy in the little things, being in the present and appreciating the company of those around you, having confidence to be your silly weird self, setting goals and reaching them, and lastly, having the ability to embrace change. With those few bullet points in the back of your mind, life may not always be easy, but it will be fulfilling. I’ve got a lot to work on and I’m far from perfect but I will continue to work towards that inner peace each and every day. When one door closes, another one opens and life can show you a path that doesn’t have an end in sight, but that’s all part of the journey. Enjoy the laughter, confusion, debacle, friendship, love, and pain that life throws at you and chase what sets your soul on fire. On that note, it’s safe to say I’m ready to embrace change so…………I’m throwing out my mittens and moving to Florida! I’m so excited for things to come, I’ll keep you guys updated, and I’ll see you in the Sunshine State….. I love you all and thanks so much for stopping by and staying supportive. As always, stay delightful!!

Hey guys! I hope you all had a wonderful week. I started my weekend early last Thursday and drove down to Charlotte for the Bevello spring fashion show! It was so much fun and I got to feel super official with my name and blog name on my chair. The store is located right in Park Road Shopping center and the space is chic, modern, and warm. I had a hard time taking myself out the door, and yes, I left with quite a few new goodies! If you haven’t checked out their site you most definitely should. I’ve gotten several questions about the floral number I wore to the show and I linked that above. It also comes in two other colors! So anyway, the focus of this post is on the beautiful JORD Wood Watch I’m wearing. I received the Frankie Dark Sandalwood watch about a week ago and I swear I’ve had a hard time taking it off since! I am totally obsessed. The dark sandalwood and emerald work together to create a powerful yet soothing palette and make it super easy to pair this piece with just about any look! The elegant case is powered by Swiss Movement and the straight-line strap creates ultimate comfort. If you’re on the market for a new watch I would suggest nothing but JORD. Wear time stylishly, comfortably, and essentially with JORD wood watches!
I also wanted to let you guys in on a giveaway JORD is having! If you fill out the form at this link you have the chance to receive a $100 e-gift code to the JORD site! All other entrants will receive a $25 consolation e-gift code at the close of the contest. Because there has been some confusion in the past, I just want to make it clear that this contest is not for a free watch, but instead for a 100$ gift code. (Contest ends at 11:59 CST 04/16/17 and both gift codes expire 06/18/17)
INSIDER TIP – Contest links placed in IG profiles have consistently received more giveaway entries!
Thank you guys so much for checking out my site. You can shop this exact watch here, the JORD women’s shop here, and the men’s shop here! If you guys have any questions at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out! Have a wonderful weekend babes and as always, stay delightful!

Hey guys! I hope you had a great week. Spring break is FINALLY HERE! I’m writing this as I’m on my flight to St. John. I’m super siked, can’t wait to snorkel my heart out, get a good tan, and eat some fresh island seafood! I got this romper from Dress Lily and I’m in love. I have to brag on my Dress Lily a little. I’ve been working with them since October and I haven’t received an item that doesn’t fit me perfectly. The products that Dress Lily provides are on point when it comes to being true to size, and this is something that is extremely important with online shopping. It’s safe to say I’m a proud Dress Lily shopper!
So anyway, back to the romper! I love the embroidery and low-cut neckline. I think it adds such a feminine feel to this look. I styled this romper towards evening wear, but you could easily dress it down with a moto or denim jacket and a solid color sneaker to make it casual and playful. I paired this romper with my Steve Madden over-the-knee boots, black clutch, and two toned gold/silver accessories. I finished it off with soft curls, rose toned eye shadows, and a coral lip to tie in with the floral detail.
Worry, worry, worry. WORRY. Do I need to say more? I can’t even begin to tell you the anguish, distress, and the best part….BREAKOUTS that this overwhelming emotion has caused me. Whether it’s school, the future, relationships etc. I can find a way to keep a stressful topic on my mind. The thing is, whatever it is you are worried about may seem threatening and detrimental to your life and it may cause change or discomfort. But the truth is, nothing ever ends up exactly how you play it out in your head. What I’ve realized within the past few months is that something that may seem bad can easily be turned around. I used to think that situations that I dreaded were just going to suck, no changing it. Now, I realize that opportunity and positive change can lie behind an ending, loss, and the word no. What’s awesome is that you get to choose how you look at a situation. If something doesn’t work out exactly how you wanted, it’s most likely for the best. If you don’t see it that way at first, take some time, recover, and sleep on it. I guarantee that you will wake up the next day, week, or month with relief that what walked out of your life allowed something else, something better, the opportunity to walk in.
Thank you guys so much for checking out my site! If you’re traveling for spring break like me, be safe and have fun! I hope you all have an easy stress-free week. I love you guys, stay delightful!!

Happy Tuesday babes! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I woke up Friday morning to look out my window to see snow on the ground so I figured it was fitting to share this Dress Lily jacket with you guys! For the fashionistas like me who live in a region where snow can last until late March, early April a jacket change up can be very necessary. I am absolutely in love with this quilted panel jacket, not only because it’s super warm and comfy but also because it is extremely versatile. I’ve worn this jacket with athleisure just as much as I’ve dressed it up with heels. If you’ve got a month or two left of chilly weather this jacket is smart spend. Even if it’s starting to warm up in your area I would suggest this jacket for next winter or a future ski trip! Seriously so warm and cozy guys. I paired this coat with a white lace-up bodysuit, dark skinny jeans, a rhinestone studded choker, and finished the look off with “Russian Red” lipstick by MAC.
What is conflict? This is something I’ve been asking myself a lot lately. I avoid it at all costs and if it becomes present in my life I will take every measure to prevent myself from seeing that person, being in a certain place, or experiencing that circumstance. By no means can I say that I’m the best at letting go of my pride and apologizing, but as I get closer and closer to graduation and entering the real world, I realize that conflict is something I will have to tackle every day. That doesn’t mean I’m going to have a huge blow up fight or major disagreement often. But I do think that I will have to stand up for my beliefs and morals, strongly support my ideas, and carry out multiple responsibilities every day if I want to reach my full potential.
You win some, you lose some. That’s just the way it is. Naturally I’m an introvert. Most of my readers already know that I HATE public speaking. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I’ve sat in class with a good idea or comment but have left it unsaid due to my fear of being shut down. Lately, I’ve been challenging myself to put my ideas out there, share my opinion, and fight for what I believe in. It’s so easy to think of conflict with a negative connotation. But is that a suitable way to think of it? Some circumstances, yes conflict can be negative. But conflict can also end in positive opportunity, resolve, and compromise. I’m no longer going to think of conflict as something that will defeat me, but instead something that I’m strong enough to take a chance on and tackle. Hopefully something good will come out of it, but if it doesn’t I will move onto the next thing with hope that it will work out. It’s all part of the process!
Thank you guys so much for checking out my site! You are all amazing and can do ANYTHING you put your mind to. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or comments. LOVE YOU ALLLL! As always, stay delightful.

Hey guys! I hope you’ve had an awesome week. Spring break is approaching, and it’s safe to say I’m beyond ready to be sitting on the beach, drink in hand. This look from SheIn is giving me those spring break butterflies, and really, I don’t think it can get any comfier than a t-shirt dress. Like most beauty junkies, I tend to pack my entire makeup collection when traveling. As I start to conjure up my packing list, I’m trying to determine what I will use versus what I might use so that I can avoid living in a product tornado while I’m on break. And let’s be honest, who really wants to do their entire makeup procedure on vacation? Not me, that’s for sure! I want to spend as little time possible getting ready so that I can enjoy soaking up the sun but still feel confident while doing so. I think I’ve come up with the products that will help me do just that and I can’t wait to share them with you guys!
Loreal Restoring Shampoo and Conditioner: I’m totally obsessed with this shampoo and conditioner. It makes my hair so soft and completely eliminates frizz when I let my hair dry naturally! Perfect for the relaxed beach look.
Davines All in One Milk: This is the cherry on top when it comes to having soft, naturally dried hair! Spray some in your palm, run it through your hair with your fingers, let it dry, and wa-lah! Super soft, beach ready hair.
Spearmint Eucalyptus Body Wash: This body wash will relax you with one whiff. Spearmint and Eucalyptus are used to promote stress relief and this scrub does just that!
Goats milk lotion: Goats milk? Sounds kinda gross I know. But it definitely does not smell like cheese lol. I am absolutely addicted to this lotion and it comes in a travel size!
Neutrogena self tanner: Feeling like you don’t have enough color to sport your new bikini? Well this Neutrogena Micro Mist tanner will solve all of your problems. Simply spray it on evenly after you moisturize and you will be perfectly sun kissed!
Bobbi brown tinted moisturizer: This tinted moisturizer keeps your skin full of moisture, has great coverage, and it’s SPF 15! Perfect for spring break whether you’re on or off the beach!
Better than sex mascara: I can’t get enough of this mascara guys, I swear it makes me feel like I have fake lashes on! Easy and effortless.
Bobbie brown highlighting bronzer: This highlighting bronzer will give you the perfect natural glow that you’ve always wanted. Plus, it’s pretty amazing because you can highlight and bronze together!
Neutrogena revitalizing lip balm: I’ve been using this on my lips since high school. It adds the perfect natural pink shimmer to your lips and it will protect them out in the sun!
I hope this list helps you guys sort out your packing list like it helped me! No more disorganization, only relaxation. Have a wonderful night guys, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any comments or questions. I can’t wait to see all of your spring break adventures!
